There have been questions raised relating to the Extra Hitter
rule for the tournament. Our tournament rules do not
provide for the use of an EH and there is no rule for an
EH in the Little League Rule book. So as of now,
teams are not permitted to use an EH in the
Susquehanna Valley Tournament. This was addressed at the
coach's meeting.
However, based on email and phone conversations with coaches, it
appears there is interest in having an EH rule in place. With
that in mind I have drafted language for the Tournament Board to
review.
We constantly strive to improve our tournament and welcome any
comments and suggestions. I will immediately notify coaches
of any changes based on the Boards recommendations to me.
Again, based on the current tournament and Little League Rules, the
use of an EH is not permitted.
