Thanks for the great participation at last nights coach's
meeting. The following are a few reminders for the tournament
from the meeting.
1. Rules, Little league rules are the base set with tournament
modifications
2. Protests. Please try to avoid any protests involving
inelgible pitchers and players. If everyone is looking out
for this we should be able to avoid the situation. Any
protests involving the playing rules must be resolved with the
Umpire-in-chief for the game and the field director before play
resumes. Protests involving ineligible pitchers must be
reported no later than 9AM the day following the game.
3. Collections! Coaches, please make sure you take a
collection from your fans each game and return that money to the
field director or if there isn't a field director the home team is
responsible for seeing this money gets back to one of the
tournament officals. This is vital to keeping the cost of the
tournament down.
4. Scores and Sportsmanship award nominations. Each
team should be contacting Jared as soon as possible after the
game with their score and Sportsmanship award nomination.
5. Games start at 6pm. Moving game times on Saturday
is possible but requires consent from the field director, both
coaches, and the umpire assignor. Any time changes must also
be reported to the Tournament Director.
6. Bats. Any Little League baseball bat with a BPF
of 1.15 or less including composite bats. Big barrel bats are
not permitted.
7. Pitching. See tournament rules for specific
requirements. Remember to check the pitching records before
each game to avoid any conflicts. Make sure
to enter pitching into the form after each game and have
the opposing coach sign off.
